TRAINING METHODS

Lasting behavior change doesn’t come from quick fixes. It happens when we take time to understand why your

dog is behaving the way they are — and focus on using positive, reward-based training, meeting their

core needs, and building trust through everyday interactions.

That includes teaching new behaviours, as well as supporting your dog’s need for physical exercise, mental enrichment, social connection, and natural outlets for instinctual behaviour. When these needs are consistently met, your dog is better able to learn and thrive — and life together becomes calmer, easier, and more connected.

Karly Hertel, VSA-CDT, Cert. SAPT

Karly's mission is to help people and dogs better understand and communicate with each other so that both ends of the leash can live happy, fulfilled lives and enjoy more of life - together.

She strives to strengthen relationships between dogs and their guardians by providing education on humane, positive reinforcement training and behavior modification techniques.
